The AW3642 is a LED flash driver that provides a high level of adjustability within a small solution size. The AW3642 utilizes a 2MHz ｏｒ 4MHz fixed-frequency synchronous boost converter to provide power to the 1.5A constant current LED sources. The 64 levels current source provides the flexibility to adjust the current of LED ｉｎ Flash/Torch/IR modes. The AW3642 provides three IVFM protection modes to prevent system reset ｏｒ shutdown under low battery condition.
The AW3642 is controlled via an I2C-compatible interface. The main features of the AW3642 include: flash/torch current, flash timeout duration, IVFM, TX interrupt. The AW3642 also provides hardware flash pins (STROBE) to control flash events.
The 2MHz ｏｒ 4MHz switching frequency options, overvoltage protection (OVP), ａｎｄ adjustable current limit allow for the use of tiny, low-profile inductors ａｎｄ 10-µF ceramic capacitors. The device operates over a –40°C to +85°C ambient temperature range.
The AW3642 is available ｉｎ small 0.5mm pitch 1.630mm×1.330mm CSP-9 package.
